10 Commandments Of Blogging

1.Be tactful.

~It's okay to rant a little when you're angry or sad but don't whine or complain too much-- it can make you seem self-absorbed~

2.Be responsible.

~Although most of your regular visitors know you personally, your blog is also available to strangers. What may sound normal to you may be offensive to other people.~

3.Be respectful.

~Don't copy other bloggers' entries or photos without their permission. Don't imitate a fellow blogger's template or writing style.~

4.Be your own person.

~Don't make up stories to make your life seem more interesting. Be unique, creative, and original.~

5.Language reflects the kind of person you are.

~Exercise freedom of speech, but remain mindful of your words. Profanity is NOT cool.~

6.Know what and what not to share.

~Be careful not to give out too much information about yourself.~

7.Never post your home address and contact numbers.

~Let readers e-mail or send you private messaes if they wish to contact you.~

8.Do not give out friends' full names and contact info.

~Protect those you know much as you would protect yourself.~

9.The more elaborate the technology, the more elaborate the crimes.

~Be wary of "thieves" who try to plagiarize your work.~

10. Lastly, make your journal as meaning as possible.

~Yes, blogs are meant to be stress-relievers, but do make a conscious affort to post entries that are still worth reading.~
